WAO.. NIGERIAN CELEBRITIES BUYING FAKE TWITTER FOLLOWERS...LOL!

So I got a mail yesterday from an IT person revealing a lot about what some of our Nigerian celebs are doing on Twitter. Quite a number of them are artificially inflating their Twitter followers to make themselves appear popular online. It's like a big competition now; who has the most followers, who has the biggest fans etc...hehe! I have names and numbers...and how much some of them are paying to get these fake followers, but I will leave all that out, there's no point! :-). One celeb went from 73k followers to 150k followers in less than one week. Choi! Lol. They do it in a way that people who are following them do not even know they are following them, and when you find out you are following them, you can't even unfollow them. But the good thing about it is that the Twitter accounts they target are mostly those of foreigners. BOKO HARAM LEADER CAPTURED WITH SECURITY GUARDS

A breakthrough came the way of security agents in their quest to defeat members of the dreaded Boko Haram sect, with the arrest of one of the sect�s deadly leaders, Hassan Pagi BUKAR. He was captured in the residence of a 2003-2007 member of the House of Representatives (names withheld). The Boko Haram leader was, according to reports, arrested along with the security guard of the erstwhile lawmaker. The one-time member of the House of Reps was arrested and interrogated. He is now a daily guest of the security agency that effected the arrest. The arrest and interrogation of Bukar, a Boko Haram leader, had started yielding results. The arrest was made in the Gwarimpa area of the Federal Capital territory, FCT, Abuja. For instance, the suspect reportedly disclosed, upon interrogation, that his brief as a sect member was to �carry out robbery activities by dispossessing members of the public of their cars�. The security guard in the former House of the Reps member�s residence (who was described as a mere gateman) was said to have been �employed from Sokoto�. During further interrogation of Bukar, it was learnt that he disclosed that the cars used for suicide bombings by the sect were stolen vehicles. One of the very indicting statements of Bukar, the source said, �was that he implicated the former Reps Member by saying that he also buys some of the cars from him (Bukar) when they are stolen

Fans of Nollywood actor, Ramsey Nouah are bound to breathe a sigh of relief as their idol returns after several months of staying off the screen. The 39-year old actor was recently spotted while on set alongside Ali Nuhu and O.C Ukeje in a new movie titled �Confusion Na Wa.� The movie, directed by Kenneth Gyang, is a social comedy that spans a period of 24-hours. According to our source, the movie is produced by Tom Rowlands and funded by the Hubert Bals Fund (HBF) in Netherlands and the Durban FilmMart in South Africa. Already, squealers say the film has been submitted for the 2013 African Movie Academy Awards, and is expected to be released soon in the country.

Former CBN Governor Charles Soludo Arrested By EFCC For Bribery

Saharareporters just learnt that officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission this afternoon arrested immediate past Governor of the Central bank of Nigeria, Charles Soludo in connection with the Australian polymer banknotes bribery scam. A close relative of Mr. Soludo confirmed to Saharareporters operatives picked up the former CBN governor in Abuja a few hours ago. A government source told Saharareporters that Mr. Soludo is facing interrogation by the EFCC at its Abuja office with regards to his role in the bribery of CBN officials by an Australian currency mint company, Securency. The source told our reporters about a dozen other CBN former and serving CBN officials have also been apprehended for questioning on the deal. EFCC spokesperson could not be reached for confirmation of the arrest.

Bisi Komolafe’s property tears fiancé, family apart

A week after the remains of Nollywood actress, Bisi Komolafe was laid to rest amid tears in Ibadan, Oyo State, her fiancé, Tunde Ijadola and members of her family are already on war path over the deceased’s property. This development was madepublic during the week when Tunde cried out, saying “I don’t think it is a proper thing for family members to be fighting me for Bisi’s property less than 24hours after her death when we should be mourning her.” Ijadola reacted to the accusations levelled against him that he was not ready to release any of the deceased’s property to them. According to him, “You will recall that after Bisi Komolafe’s burial, her family not only claimed that I was responsible for her death, but also ordered me to vacate her apartment and return her vehicle to them. Complying with the instruction, Tunde stated that “I am sending the Honda Pilot back to them, sad enough, Bisi’s parents do not have issues with me but her extended family members. Please note I havegiven them time and place to pick the car.” “On the accusation that he went back to pack Bisi’s properties, he said, “I came back to Nigeria on October 24, 2012. Bisi and I left the Ikorodu flat on October 26, 2012 and until now, I have never stepped into the Ikorodu apartment which I rented for her. I’m shocked by what I am hearing. Bisi was living in Ajao Estate before I rented the Ikorodu apartment for her.” Tunde also cleared the air on the accusation that he had been hiding Bisi from people. He said “I had to change Bisi’s numbers because she needed rest, when she was ill people kept calling her for work. It is sad that Bisi died the way she did. One of the main issues between me and her family was the fact that when Bisi’s sickness dragged on, I went spiritual to save her. We were told that her problems were spiritual but her family wouldn’t allow us to take her for spiritual care.”

ETISALAT NIGERIA REWARDS70 UNDERGRADUATES

Etisalat Nigeria has rewarded 70 university undergraduates through its education empowerment scheme, the Etisalat Merit Awards, bringing the total number of awardees for 2012 to 200. The scholarships were awarded to outstanding undergraduates from seven public universities in the Southwest region with the highest CGPA in courses like Electrical Electronics Engineering, Computer Science and Management Sciences. Etisalat Director for Products and Service, Lucas Dada, said the scheme, which is in its fourth year, has awarded scholarships grants of NGN 100,000 each to over 800 university students across the country.
